A New Arts Club for Unemployed People

JUMP! Is a new arts club for unemployed people which will be run at The Edge every Thursday from 1pm-3.30pm.  This is what will happen when you come to JUMP!: When you arrive you’ll be met by a host who will find out a bit about you: what you like about the arts; what you’re interested in; what you want to have a go at; what you’ve always wished you could try; what you’ve done before and want to return to, such as drawing, painting, singing, play-reading, writing, acting, dancing or making things.   You might be a complete beginner or an artist in your own right. You might want to learn new skills or share your existing ones with others. When we find out what you would like to get from JUMP! we’ll do our best to provide it for you -  we’ll just need to find enough other people who are wanting to learn or share similar skills to you, to make up a class. We would need at least 8 people in a class for most of the areas that we’ll cover, so if you have friends with similar interests, bring them along.  We’ll provide the space, the facilitators and the refreshments.  JUMP! is completely free -  just turn up between 1pm-3.30pm on Thursdays. *acting and music facilitators are based at The Edge, other art form tutors will be booked in when class numbers are high enough.
